Miriam Mora. Barcelona, 1980

I started modeling clay figurines as a self-taught sculptor in late 2007. After several years combining my hobby with different jobs as an engineer and also learning other craft techniques, I found out that I was talented in fine arts. As it was also something that made me happy, I decided to take sculpture classes and finally I have trained as a sculptor from 2014 to 2018. My inspiration comes from different ways, sometimes I sculpt mythological characters because of my passion for fairy tales since I was a child, but also I like modeling realistic human figures in contemplative states or in yoga poses. Other inspiring themes for me are motherhood, spiritual teachings and ancient cultures. I hope you enjoy visiting all my artwork.
